Be a Hero for Animals like Honey
The HSUS recently paid out our 100th reward for information leading to a conviction in an animal fighting case. Watch the video of one of the many animals we’ve rescued from illegal fighting, Honey, a wounded pit bull found tied to a heavy chain during a dogfighting raid this summer.

Online shopping is a great way to buy holiday gifts, but not to get a puppy or other pet. In a new undercover investigation, The HSUS dug into the world of Internet puppy sellers and found not only the underlying cruelty of puppy mills, but also deceptive sales tactics.
Cracking Down on Cockfighting in San Bernardino County
There are thousands of law enforcement officials working to enforce laws against animal cruelty, and we owe them a great debt. San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos, who fights against cruelty in the nation’s largest county, announced a new campaign against cockfighting this week.

Urgent Action Needed to Save American Horses from Slaughter
Congress recently chose not to include a ban on funding USDA inspectors at horse slaughter plants in the United States, opening the door for these plants to open here. We need to ban the slaughter of American horses throughout North America by passing the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. Please take action today!
