Rescued beagles are a holiday reminder of why our work – and your support – matters

Following our investigation at a Michigan lab, we helped secure the release of 32 beagles to our shelter partner, Michigan Humane Society. Pictured above, Millie, one of the beagles who has since been adopted into a loving home. Photo by Kendra Stanley-Mills/AP Images for the HSUS
For you and for all of us at the Humane Society family of organizations, 2020 has been a long year. As we reach its close, I want to give you my highest assurance that we’ve kept our shoulders to the wheel, expanding our lifesaving programs, pushing our ambitious public policy agenda, carrying out our rescue work in the United States and abroad and continuing to bring the message of compassion and consideration for animals to millions of people. We’re going to do the same in 2021.
Just now, though, I want to share an inspiring video with you, one that goes to the very heart of our work, the very spirit that animates it and the very core of our vision. The work we do together is about the creation of love and feeling for animals, and the desire for justice, fairness and due consideration for their interests. I can think of nothing that brings this across better than the story of the beagles who found new homes as a result of our campaign to end an experimental study which put them at risk. They’re alive, they’re safe and as you’ll see, they are loved.
From each and every one of us, to each and every one of you, best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.
What a joyful video/gift for the holiday! Thank you! I love the work you do and that’s why I support you❤️
Parabéns a Todos os envolvidos! Obrigada por ajudarem os animais! Deus os abençoe infinitamente…
